The Chelsea High School Cafeteria in Chelsea, Massachusetts, is undergoing a $7.7 million renovation by WES and designed by Mount Vernon Group Architects, to address the needs of its growing student population. Originally built to accommodate 1,000 students, the school now serves nearly 1,700. Set to begin in mid-2024 with a very aggressive completion target of Fall 2024, the project encompasses demolition, site work, renovation, and an addition, focusing on expanding the cafeteria’s seating and kitchen areas, and relocating the teacher dining and prep areas. This renovation is crucial to meet the increased demand and improve the facility’s functionality.
